Two Nigerians sharing a moment of connection and help

Stories of impact

Real people. Real help. Real change.

Every number behind our work is a human being. These are some of their stories — told with their permission, in their own words.

The Bridge in action.

Since we began, The Bridge Nigeria has connected hundreds of individuals and families with the support they needed — through individual givers, NGO partners, and our radio community. These stories are not statistics. They are proof that when people choose to see each other, something changes.

The drought took everything. I am a farmer — I have never asked for help in my life. But my grandchildren were hungry. The Bridge connected us with a food programme within a week.

I needed to leave. I had nowhere to go and no money. The Bridge did not ask me to explain everything — they just helped me find safety. That was enough.
What happened: Referred to a women's shelter NGO partner. Legal and counselling support provided.

Musa, 67

Kaduna State

My children are far away. I was alone and sick and could not afford my medication. Someone from the radio show called The Bridge on my behalf. I did not even know people cared.
What happened: Medication costs covered. Enrolled in an elderly care support programme.
